Funicular & Elevator Fares

Two trips on a elevator or funicular in Lisbon will cost you €3.80. Best to pay this with your Viva Viagem Card. You can also pay cash to the driver, but your fare will be less expensive if you have a Viva Viagem Card.

How to Board & Exit the Funicular & Elevators

Boarding a funicular in Lisbon is similar to the tram. Funicular doors are open the entire trip, so there is no need to open the doors yourself. Funiculars in Lisbon only operate back and forth between two stops, so it's fairly simple to get off at the correct stop.

Transfer Rules

You do not get a discounted fare when transferring to or from a funicular to any other mode of transportation in Lisbon.
